Our vision could not come to life without our amazing team! Elk Mountain has a highly talented and versatile team of employees and subcontractors. Our fearless leader, Brett, has been building houses since 1999 and continues to surround himself with the best. Together with our employees and subcontractors Elk Mountain Construction brings decades of combined experience. We truly value all of our working relationships, and our culture is one that is based on hard work, fun, trust and commitment to each other.
Our Diversification’s
Elk Mountain Construction is a licensed and insured Residential and Commercial General Contractor in the great state of Montana. We also hold special licenses and insurance as an Excavation Contractor and Septic Installer. We own the heavy equipment needed to perform the excavation, grading, and septic work on all of our projects. We financially invest in our team and the tools we need to do the job correctly, the first time and every time.
In addition to our trusted sub-contractors and suppliers, we also have an in-house accounting team dedicated to tracking all of our project’s expenses ensuring we stay on budget with as few financial surprises as possible. Our accounting team isn’t just involved to crunch the numbers and report back, they actually understand the process of building and the specific requirements of construction and give the management team a heads up if things look off. Having the accounting team involved from the beginning also makes working with our multiple banking connections even easier. They speak the same language!
Elk Mountain Construction has also partnered with “Kelly Right Real Estate of Montana” to offer in-house Realtor representation. In addition to handling all of the legal paperwork required to buy your new home, you have the choice to have the same realtor team sell your current home. While we do offer land-home packages some clients want that extra special spot in the hills or on a river that we may not already own. No problem! Our in-house Realtor team can find that special spot for you so we can build your dream home where you want it. One point of contact for all of your real estate transactions makes life clean and easy!
With our decades of experience in the process of building, we have been able to refine and improve the home building and buying process from your perspective by eliminating most of the unneeded frustrations. We eliminate the frustrations by being a “one-stop-shop.” We are able to accomplish tasks in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manor from inception to completion by being a team with a common goal. Your needs will be heard and handled, every time. Again, one point of contact. Clean and easy!

We have 3 main areas of focus.
Turnkey single family homes that are move in ready.
Semi-Custom homes have a predetermined layout with the homeowner having some preselected options.
Custom homes are designed and built specifically for the homeowner. The sky is the limit here!

At Elk Mountain Construction we offer land and home packages. This means the land and home are included in the same deal.
Many of our clients also own their own land. That is great too! We will gladly build on your lot.
Some clients may not currently own land but want a house built somewhere other than the land Elk Mountain Construction is currently developing. Our in-house Realtor will gladly help you find a lot that you love to build your home on.

There are too many variables that affect cost when designing and building a new home. Current material costs, labor, the types of finishes used, and design are just some of the examples that affect the end cost.
We work closely with you from the start to determine how to get the most out of your budget.

Construction loans are not as intimidating as they might sound! It starts as a twelve month, interest only loan that is used during construction. We get monthly “draws” from the bank to pay for completed work to-date. The payments are interest only on the amount borrowed to-date which can be paid monthly or financed into the loan. At the end of construction, the loan is rolled into a permanent loan with regularly amortized principal and interest payments. By acquiring a construction loan you can lock in your rate at the beginning of the contract.
